Accreditation
As part of our commitment to quality and resident safety, every four years Father Lacombe Care Society participates in Accreditation Canada’s Qmentum program to evaluate our performance against national standards of excellence in long term care. The Qmentum program evaluates leadership, governance, resident safety, education and training, emergency preparedness, human resources, infection control, the physical environment and medication management.
Resident and Family Experience Survey
Every three years Father Lacombe Care Society conducts a Resident and Family Experience Survey, seeking feedback from our residents, clients, families and other stakeholders on our services. In addition to this internal survey, Father Lacombe Care Society also participates in the Health Quality Council provincial survey. The Health Quality Council provincial survey is offered every three years and provides opportunity to benchmark with other continuing care organizations across Alberta.
Partnerships for Injury Reduction
Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR) is designed to encourage injury prevention and the development of effective workplace health, safety and disability management systems. PIR is a voluntary program that operates through the combined efforts of the Workers’ Compensation Board – Alberta, the Ministry of Labour, the Continuing Care Safety Association and continuing care and supportive living employers. Each year, through the Continuing Care Safety Association, Father Lacombe Care Society participates in an internal/external audit. The audit measures the effectiveness of our health and safety program across eight elements; management and leadership and organizational commitment, hazard identification and assessment, hazard control, ongoing inspections, qualifications, orientation and training, emergency response, accident and incident investigation, and program administration. We are proud to hold COR certification since 2014.
